Piper comes unhemped.

Ok, admit it. After a particularly bad day out with the pipe band on the competition field, you’ve harboured the desire to do this to your fellow bandmate for making that wee squeal or slip. I mean, c’mon, it’s the difference between marching first off the field in massed bands with that shiny cup or plaque, or going off as a group with the rest of the rabble, after all. Important stuff, right? Worth fighting for?

Not so much.

Honestly, with the passion we feel for our art and the importance we pipers and drummers place on our craft, and the general heat of a good summer games day, it’s a wonder more of us don’t come unhinged and do things like this. It’s a good thing we all get along nicely, most times…
